Revolutionary 4-way connector system
If you have used a Pipes & Drapes system before, you probably know what the shortcomings are: for example, telescopic drape support that detach, irregular hanging curtains or clumsy mounting.
The revolutionary and patented 4-way connector with its autolock system makes these occurrences a thing of the past. This system guarantees solid connections of uprights and drape supports while they can still be adjusted to every conceivable direction. Showtec Pipes & Drapes goes ever further. Another advantage is that the four openings of the connectors have a universal size of 16 mm. That gives you room for mounting a camera, speaker or lamp. Using an adapter, you can also link the Showtec 4-way connector seamlessly to all Pipes & Drapes systems with round uprights.

Additional advantages
You will discover additional advantages when you use Showtec Pipes & Drapes. Our telescopic uprights made of reinforced aluminum can be assembled up to 6 meters without the need for ladders, and their locking heads guarantee an easy and robust connection. In addition, our baseplates with rounded-off corners are reinforced to bear extra weight.
The reinforced drape supports can bear a weight of 25 kg and they can be adjusted to up to 3 meters in length. The Velcro system guarantees that the curtains are hanging even and straight.

Curtains
All curtains of the Showtec P&D range are made of permanent flame retardant fabrics meeting the German standard DIN 4102-B1. Curtains can be washed while they keep the flame retardancy.

Showtec has a large range of different cloths that can be used for the Pipe and Drape sytems. Each type of cloth has it's own specifications and application which are explained in the below overview.
 
Medium Gloss Satin.
Medium Gloss Satin is a lightweight fabric. It's weight is 165 gram/m2. Due to the lightweight it is easy to handle and more cost effective. The curtains have a bit glossy out looking.  Medium Gloss Satin curtains can be washed and are flame retardant according DIN 4102-B1 (IFR). They are made of of 100% PES FR. Because of the light weight fabric it will not block light for 100% for these kind of applications you can use the Dimout series.
 
Molton CS
Molton CS is the standard for stage clothing and is made of the same fabric as backdrops. Molton CS is heavy with a 300 gram/m2 weight.  It has a matt finishing and therefore absorbs most of the light. Due to its higher density it also blocks light much better than the Medium Gloss Satin.
Molton CS curtains are washable and are flame retardant according DIN 4102-B1 (IFR).
They are made of 100% PES FR.
 
Dimout
Dimout fabrics are shiny fabrics with a weight of 260 gram/2. They are ideal for decorative applications and available in a wide selection of colours. Dimout curtains are special designed to block light and can be used e.g. in front of windows.
Dimout curtains can be washed and are flame retardant according DIN 4102-B1 (IFR). They are made of 100% PES FR.
 
String Curtain
String Curtains are very suitable for decorative effects. They have a high transparency and are ideal to be illuminated to create stylish and impressive effects. String curtains are washable and are flame retardant according DIN 4102-B1 (IFR). They are made of 100% PES FR.
