With balanced and unbalanced output options, the AT8022 is extremely versatile for all types of stereo microphone applications, from outdoor recordings or ambient pick-up to interviews. In balanced mode, a Y-splitter cable separates the output XLR connectors, with the option of feeding the microphone via phantom power. The unbalanced mode requires the use of an AA-type battery to power the microphone, and uses a 3.5 mm mini jack output connector, providing the most professional microphone for retransmissions, which can be used with camcorders or mp3 recorders or minidisc.
