SPECIAL PLATE The 3-Piece HCS 10/12/14 Smack Stack features three discs with a shape that creates a distinctive sound effect. The stack can be manipulated by adjusting the tension of the plate holder wing. The stack can be manipulated by adjusting the tension of the plate holder's wing nut. Increasing the tension produces a crisp attack and short decay ideal for fast accents, while a looser setting produces longer sustain. It works well when combined with a snare for a richer sound, or as a simple alternative to the snare. The discs are 10”, 12” and 14” in size.
